Train to Where?

Oh my goodness, it's been two weeks since I last posted.  I've got to get my act together.

What I REALLY wanted to do with this train was get shots of the kids, but it really looks pretty unsafe in spots :) .  

Take a Back Road

We were driving south down my LEAST favorite interstate several days ago and as far as you could see in front of us and behind us was cars, cars and more cars.  All I wanted to do was put "a little gravel in my travel" as Rodney Atkin's song says.

Shake Saturday

We have never made shakes before.  Nope, nada, never . . . . until tonight.  Thanks to my sister we have have now made milkshakes.  We put the ice cream in the blender, poured a little milk in, added a little candy and wa-la a milkshake.

AHHHH good to the last drop :)

4th of July Parade

We went to a Fourth of July parade in a town nearby with some friends.  I simply loved that this gentleman looked straight at me while I was taking his picture.  He's a WWII Vet.  

OOPS, as I was lying down ON the road in front of the flag taking the picture, I didn't realize I was blocking their walking path.  That was an embarrassing moment.  I moved FAST once someone pointed it out to me.

How can a juicy watermelon not be part of the celebration of Patriotism?
