Just Another Day with Special Visitors

We had very special visitors today.  This is my Big A and my 

(dare I say it, cause I'm not that old) 

great niece Little A who is an ABSOLUTELY

precious child and I love her very much.

Here are the two A's and K. 

It was a short visit and hopefully

there will be a longer one 

in the near future.

Plain ole' pooped after her 12 rebounds, 4 points, 2 steals and diving for foul balls AND a sleepover.

Just Another Accidental Day

Okay, okay I know it's not a great picture, but the driveway IS a hill (sort of) and it was slick.  I was sitting on my sofa, talking on the phone, when I looked out the window and watched the van sliding down the driveway.  It came really close to the mailbox, but didn't take it out.  Good thing there wasn't a car parked there ..... whew!

It was another well fought game.  It was not the right outcome for us, but in the end we are all brothers (and sisters) in Christ.

Just Another Loosey Goosey Day

There were HUNDREDS of these geese about 2 minutes from my house. This is just a fraction of the flock. Just - EWWWW!

Just Another Tender Day

I totally stink at keeping up with this take a picture-a-day thing.  BUT, today I took this of Joe and his dad.  It was a difficult, but tender moment.  It was a quiet moment between a father and son.  This time, it's the son comforting the father, and reassuring him everything is going to be okay.

This reminds me of the line in the book where it says:

 "The son went to his mother (father).  He picked her up and rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.  And he sang this song:

I'll love you forever,

I'll like you for always,

As long as I'm living

My Mommy (Dad) you'll be."

competition was Smile.  I, of course, had to do this

because my sister did it too.  But I loved
