Sister Fix

This weekend was Sister-Fix weekend!!!

She, Margaret, of course has all kinds of friends where she lives.  But she ran into a special one today at my nephew's soccer game and I couldn't help but snap pictures while they talked.

Weather Changes

The nights are getting cooler. That means it's cooler in the morning when the kids are doing their school work.

I love my kids.  I love their individualism.  I love their ingenuity and problem solving :) because I am just not ready to turn the heat on yet.  It's not THAT cold.

Sunset

My daughter has her learner's permit and right now we are driving the country roads while I am she is getting comfortable behind the wheel.  I opted to take my camera for a "just in case I need to take a picture" moment. It cropped up (pun intended) over the golden soybeans.

I couldn't decide which one I liked more so I put both.

Running Hills

It's that time of year again.  I bet you think I mean fall, crisp, autumn temperatures, beautiful colors, and open windows.  I bet you think I mean it's time to go take pictures of covered bridges, rolling hills, corn stalks and pumpkins.

NO!!!! I don't mean that!
(well, the picture taker in me does mean that)

It's almost basketball season!

So, in preparation, the basketball parent in this family (that of course is not me) has his kids doing dribbling drills, shooting drills (that's with a ball) and running hills .... forwards and backwards.  For the most part it's done with great sense of humor.

One must ham it up, you know.

Strengthening those legs

He of course is cheering them on, but also doing the hill with them.

She looks like she's been running hills, doesn't she?

Cumberland River

I have waited all summer for a shot like this.

Finally, on the last time down for the season, I got what I was looking for.

I imagine the beauty of Fall with this shot would be that much more spectacular.
